Teeth with roots that have been damaged or infected used to require extraction. Extracting teeth causes LOTS of problems and should be avoided when possible. The treatment now consists of doing root canal therapy. Now, no one really wants a root canal but if it is necessary you can rest assured that Dr. Schmidt will make the experience tolerable and nearly completely painless. In most cases you won’t have to be referred to another office, and best of all, most patients are only in the chair for approximately an hour!
